2 August – 11 August 2013 The wine festival in Balatonlelle is organised in the honour of Saint Donatus, patron against lightning, patron saint of the vineyards, by the wine makers of Balatonlelle every August. It’s the 21st time in 2013 that this festival has been organised. There are a lot of people who arrange their holiday according to this event as nobody wants to miss the 10-day programme with music and dance, the highlight of which is the election of the wine queen.

Napfény Beach can be found on the shore belonging to the centre of the town, east of the harbour.

One of the sensations is the sandy beach created in 2006, which gives a real seaside feeling. In the shallow, slowly deepening water even small children can swim safely. The silky sand has become a paradise of sand castle builders. A sandy futnet court and a beach volleyball field also belong to the beach.

A speciality of Napfény Beach is a water park with three pools, a giant wave slide and a sauna house. Three jacuzzi beds have been built on the longitudinal side of the pool and there are two whirlpools with air jets at the bottom of the pool. The pool water can be heated, so it is suitable for bathing even in bad weather. A sauna and a steam room connected to the pools operate in an area of 150 m² all year round.

You can park for free in the town all year round. In 1928 Balatonlelle was rewarded with the classification ‘spa town’ for the ‘row of beautiful villas’. In 1848 372 acres of vineyard were registered in Balatonlelle. Besides numerous apartments and hotels 1700 private houses await the guests. The accomodations fulfil all the requirements, so we would whole heartedly recommend them not only on the shore but also on the quiet outskirts of the town.
